The mastering microbiology that comes with it though is beyond worth it and is worth 5 stars on its own. It has an animation clearly explaining every single concept you can imagine with quizzes and study tools.

NOTE: Books a la Carte are unbound, three-hole-punch versions of the textbook. This lower cost option is easy to transport and comes with same access code or media that would be packaged with the bound book.
